Jewel of the Rainforest

Amid the deep emerald canopy, a Green Honeycreeper catches the rainforest light like a gemstone — turquoise, lime, and gold shimmering with every breath. San Rafael Glacier reflected in a still blue lagoon, with sculpted ice and turquoise water under a clear sky.

Reflections In Blue

San Rafael Glacier floats in a mirrored lagoon, its sculpted ice shimmering against a sapphire sky and glassy water. Shades of turquoise and cobalt meet in stillness, creating an ephemeral elegance carved by time and light.

Tethered to the Wind

Thousands of prayer flags stretch across the Himalayan ridge, revealing the invisible threads that bind everything together. In this vibrant tangle—color and cloth, sky and stone—connection becomes visible. The flags link past to future, human to earth, silence to presence; the moment feels infinite.

Towards the Infinite

World Bank Land and Poverty Conference — Washington, D.C., USA (2019)

Venue: World Bank Headquarters
Host/Organiser: The World Bank
Curatorial Selection: USAID — Office of Land Tenure & Resource Management (E3 Bureau)

A curated selection of Sandy’s documentary photographs was exhibited during the World Bank’s annual Land and Poverty Conference, a global convening of policymakers, researchers, and development leaders. The works were specially chosen by USAID’s Office of Land Tenure and Resource Management — a rare recognition, as USAID does not typically curate photography for exhibition.

The pieces highlighted women’s land rights, community leadership, and rural economic development across Africa and Asia, reflecting the artistic calibre and narrative power of Sandy’s early documentary portfolio. This exhibition marked a pivotal moment when her editorial imagery was recognised as museum-quality visual storytelling, bridging documentary practice with fine art sensibilities.
